The Megamoose heavy-weight underpart
With the exception of the Moosewood Natural Horn underparts, all models are available in the Megaweight configuration. The added mass enhances projection without dampening tone color. The Megamoose is especially recommended for orchestral and wind ensemble performance, as loud dynamics are easily managed without overblowing. Stability or "slotting" of tones is enhanced with the use of the Megamoose underpart; ease of slurring is not affected.
The Megamoose is also available as the "Cartouche", in all model types, excepting the Natural Horn underparts. The Cartouche is specially annealed for further responsiveness in your horn. Each Cartouche is serial-numbered and this record is kept on file here at Moosewood. Price in silver plate $130, which includes custom fitting if needed.
